DryGYRO®

Freeze Faster, Run Longer, Defrost Less

Your gyro freezers, carton freezers, and blast freezers were designed for a certain capacity. Then your business grew. Now you're pushing equipment beyond its limits, dealing with ice buildup on coils, longer defrost cycles, wet product problems, and production downtime that eats into your bottom line.

DryGYRO® turns your existing freezers into higher-capacity, more efficient assets. This patented retrofittable system prevents moisture from entering fast-freezing equipment, dramatically reducing ice accumulation, extending production hours, and increasing freezer capacity, often by as much as 30%.

Solutions

From air handling to energy recovery, our engineered systems reduce costs, improve productivity, and create long-term sustainability.

Solutions for Every Climate Challenge

At SCE®, we don't just supply equipment—we engineer complete climate control systems tailored to your specific challenges. Every solution integrates our patented technologies, proven methodologies, and global partnerships to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.

The Moisture Problem in Fast Freezing

Every time product enters a gyro or blast freezer, it brings moisture with it. That moisture turns to ice on coils, reducing heat transfer efficiency. Ice forces more frequent defrost cycles. Defrost cycles mean downtime. Downtime means lost production capacity.

When you're running at or above design limits, the problem accelerates: wet product issues, ice-clogged coils, conveyor linkage breaks, and freezing equipment that can't keep up with demand.

DryGYRO® breaks this cycle by controlling moisture at the source.

How It Works:

How It Works: Dry Air, Maximum Efficiency

DryGYRO® creates a protective envelope of dry air around freezer entry points using a specialized entrance canopy and airlock system. By preventing moisture ingress before product enters the freezer, the system ensures coils stay cleaner, freezing happens faster, and production runs longer between defrost cycles.

The system includes integrated controls with HMI touch screen panels, allowing operators to switch between normal production mode and the game-changing DefrostMODE®.

DefrostMODE®:
The Productivity Multiplier

During defrost cycles, DefrostMODE® uses forced dry air to dramatically reduce defrost time, completely dry the interior after wash-down, and ensure no water freezes on coils at start-up. Conveyor belts are dried before production resumes, extending belt life and preventing linkage breaks.

The result? Clean, dry coils on start-up mean longer running times, superior heat transfer, and maximum performance from the first product through the freezer.

When you retrofit existing freezers with DryGYRO®, the improvements are measurable:

Increases production capacity by up to 30% by eliminating moisture-related throughput limitations
Reduces energy consumption per kilogram of frozen product through improved heat transfer efficiency
Extends production hours with fewer and faster defrost cycles per day
Eliminates wet-product problems when operating at or beyond design capacity
Prevents ice buildup on entrance and exit conveyor belts and gearboxes
Reduces condensation and fog in injection and discharge halls
Extends belt life and reduces conveyor linkage breaks
Simplifies maintenance with dry, ice-free equipment
The Economics of Upgraded Capacity

You're getting increased freezer capacity without buying new equipment. You're reducing energy consumption while improving output. You're extending equipment lifespan while increasing productivity. Energy reduction plus capacity increase delivers an attractive return on investment, often measured in months, not years.

Built for Retrofitting Existing Equipment

Available in two models for 3-5 ton and 6-10 ton gyros, DryGYRO® includes entrance canopy/airlock systems, defrost vestibules, high-quality dehumidification with precision ducting, and PLC controllers with touch screen HMI panels. Optional off-site monitoring and DryJET® ceiling diffusers provide additional control and condensation management.

Protected by Innovation, Backed by Expertise

DryGYRO® is protected by South African Patent No. 2020/01868, representing over a decade of climate engineering innovation applied specifically to fast-freezing challenges.

Every DryGYRO® installation comes with expert system sizing, professional retrofitting with minimal disruption, comprehensive operator training, Service Level Agreements with scheduled maintenance, three-year warranty program (with annual SLA renewal), and responsive support from our team of freezing systems specialists.

We understand that freezer capacity drives production schedules and revenue. That's why we don't just install equipment, we partner with you to ensure it delivers the performance your operation demands.

When Buying New Equipment Isn't the Answer

Expanding freezer capacity usually means major capital investment in new equipment. DryGYRO® offers a smarter alternative: unlock the hidden capacity in the freezers you already own by eliminating the moisture that's holding them back.

More throughput. Less energy. Fewer defrost cycles. Longer production hours.

That's the DryGYRO® difference.
