DryZONE®

Entry-Level Freezer Protection That Delivers Real Results

Not every freezer doorway needs a complex solution. But every freezer doorway needs protection from moisture, ice buildup, and energy waste.

DryZONE® delivers exactly that. This cost-effective airlock system creates a pressurized barrier of dry air at freezer doors, preventing moisture ingress and ice formation without the complexity or cost of more advanced systems. It's the smart starting point for facilities that need proven freezer protection on a practical budget.

Solutions

From air handling to energy recovery, our engineered systems reduce costs, improve productivity, and create long-term sustainability.

Solutions for Every Climate Challenge

At SCE®, we don't just supply equipment—we engineer complete climate control systems tailored to your specific challenges. Every solution integrates our patented technologies, proven methodologies, and global partnerships to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.

The Ice and Moisture Challenge

Every time a freezer door opens, warm, humid air tries to rush in. The result is predictable: ice forms on floors, walls, and door frames. Frost accumulates inside the freezer. Your refrigeration plant works harder. Defrost cycles run more frequently. And your team spends time chipping ice instead of moving product. Strip curtains barely slow this down. Open doorways make it worse.

DryZONE® stops moisture at the source.

How It Works:

Dry Air Meets Smart Design

DryZONE® is installed directly on the freezer door, creating an airlock of dry air on both sides of the doorway using strip curtains as containment barriers. When the door opens, the system maintains a pressurized dry air environment that prevents moisture from entering the freezer and stops ice from forming at the threshold.

The approach is straightforward: control the air, control the moisture, eliminate the ice.

What This Means for Your Operation

When you install DryZONE®, you're addressing multiple problems with a single, proven solution:

  • Eliminates ice buildup at freezer doorways, reducing slip hazards and improving safety
  • Prevents moisture ingress that causes frost accumulation and product quality issues
  • Reduces refrigeration plant load by minimizing warm air infiltration and moisture introduction
  • Cuts defrost cycle frequency, extending production time and reducing energy consumption
  • Improves HACCP and OHS compliance by maintaining dry, ice-free access points
  • Protects workers from slip hazards caused by ice and condensation at high-traffic doorways
  • Lowers maintenance demands by preventing ice-related damage to door seals and mechanisms

Cost-Effective, Not Compromised

DryZONE® is designed as an entry-level solution, but "entry-level" doesn't mean basic performance. This system delivers measurable results in real-world freezer environments:
Freezer doorways stay dry and ice-free
Energy consumption drops as moisture control reduces refrigeration load
Strip curtains last longer because they're not constantly frozen or torn
Workers move more safely through dry, well-maintained access points

Built for Freezer Environments

DryZONE® is engineered to handle the demanding conditions of industrial freezers:

  • Works in temperatures down to -25°C and below
  • Integrates with existing door configurations and strip curtain setups
  • Designed for durability in high-traffic, low-temperature environments
  • Simple operation that doesn't slow workflow or complicate procedures

When to Choose DryZONE®

This system is ideal for:

  • Moderate-traffic freezer doorways where doors close between uses
  • Facilities seeking cost-effective moisture control without complex infrastructure changes
  • Operations with existing strip curtains that need moisture protection without removing barriers
  • Budget-conscious upgrades that still deliver measurable performance improvements
  • Smaller freezers or secondary access points where full open-door systems aren't required

Upgrading When You're Ready
